Skip a Workout This Week

Wait, did Hal the Health Coach just tell me to skip a workout?
If you're not where you wanna be from a weight perspective, the issue has nothing to do with your workouts. It's your diet that is holding you back. So you need to focus on your nutrition, not spend more time in the gym.
Your time would be much better utilized by skipping one of your workouts and dedicating that 45-60 minutes to doing some meal prep or grocery shopping.
Here are a couple super efficient meal prep strategies I've utilized lately:
Bulk cook your protein: Last Sunday I sizzled up a delicious NY Strip on the BBQ. While grilling the strip, I also threw a couple Sirloins on there and sliced them up for later in the week. And just like that, dinner for Monday-Thursday was already ~75% ready. Steak sandwiches on Sourdough one night, steak egg and cheese another night, steak quesadillas on a third.
Prep Food in the Morning: I wake up ~5-5:30 and knock out a couple hours of health coaching work before heading into the office. It's easy to throw something in the oven or air fryer while doing that morning work. The other day I threw some chicken burgers in the air fryer in the morning and had dinner ready to go for that night. And this week I threw an egg/feta bake in the oven that served as dinner and lunch for Amy and I over the next couple days.
Think about your own schedule and plan accordingly. Maybe you workout at home in the morning and can throw something in the oven during your workout. Or if you work from home on certain days, it would be very easy to whip something up while on calls.
By the way, if you work with me 1:1, I do your grocery shopping for you via pre-made grocery lists on Instacart. And I have hundreds of high protein/low calorie recipes. And I can build you custom meal plans aligned with your calorie and macro targets and dietary preferences.
Stay well, Hal the Health Coach
