Here's the Key to Real Transformation
"The last stroke of the hammer breaks a stone. This doesn't mean the first stroke is useless. Success is the result of continuous effort."
Someone asked me this question the other day: "Hal, what's the hardest part about getting in shape?"
It's not the workout.
It's the 23 other hours of the day when you're not working out.
It's the decisions at restaurants. The snacks at midnight. The excuses at 5 AM. The throwaway glasses of Sauv B on a random Tuesday night.
The gym part is pretty easy. But life is hard.
Fitness isn't about what you do for an hour a few times per week. It's about what you don't do the rest of the day.
If you can master the hours between your workouts, you can accomplish anything. Those are the small wins or losses that matter the most. And only YOU will experience them the vast majority of the time.
If you're looking for external validation, you're not gonna get it.
So if you notice yourself making those micro-decisions aligned with your goals day after day, celebrate them. And keep stacking those W's. Because they are what's going to make the biggest difference.
You will notice no immediate result from one of those small wins. But stacking lots of them over a long enough time period will result in massive change.
Let's stack some W's this week, Hal the Health Coach
