Chicken Parm Pizza, Full Body Crusher
Today I'm sharing an insanely easy and delicious high protein pizza recipe, and a full body crusher of a workout.
Sheet Pan Chicken Parm Pizza
Would you like to eat pizza for dinner everyday while still losing weight and nailing your daily protein target?
Kitchen Supplies Needed: Oven, Large Bowl, Sheet Pan, Parchment Paper, Optional: spray cooking oil
Ingredients: - 2 pounds ground chicken - 1 egg - 1 cup grated Parmesan - 1 cup Italian breadcrumbs - 1/4 cup Marinara Sauce (Primal Brands or Rao's) - Sliced Mozzarella - Seasonings: Garlic powder, Oregano, Salt
Instructions: 1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees 2. In a large bowl add ground chicken, egg, Parmesan, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, salt. Mix with hands to combine everything. 3. To form the pizza crust, spread the mixture on a large sheet pan lined with parchment paper into a round circle shape 4. Optional: sprinkle some more breadcrumbs on top and spray with cooking oil 5. Bake for 30 minutes 6. Remove from oven, top with marinara, some more parmesan (optional), mozzarella, and oregano 7. Bake for an additional 5-7 minutes and broil for the last few minutes to get the cheese nice and bubbly 8. Remove and cut into pizza slices
This creates some thick, dense slices with the chicken crust. 1/4 of the pie gets you ~70 grams of protein for only ~700 calories.
5-55 Full Body Workout
This one is a full body circuit consisting of 5 exercises: - Back Squat - Bench Press - Deadlift - Pull-up - Pushup
Here's how it works: set up these 5 stations then do 10 reps of each, followed by 9 reps of each, all the way down to 1.
Adjust the amount of weight according to your training level: - Beginners: 50-125 lbs - Intermediates: 125-200 lbs - Advanced: 200+ lbs
Take breaks as needed throughout the circuit. I like aiming for 1:30-2 minute breaks in between each circuit.
Give this one a shot this week, and let me know how it goes.
