WEEKLY CLIENT RESOURCE

Good morning, Subscriber First Name,

This week's lesson is going back to the basics - macros made simple.

Protein, Fats, and Carbs all play an important role. Protein is king and should always be priority number one.

After that, within the construct of the Flexible Dieting approach we're utilizing, it's mostly about filling in the blanks with fats and carbs based on personal preference while not going above your daily calorie target.

If you have not yet calculated your total daily energy expenditure (TDEE), or in other words your maintenance calories, you can do so using an online TDEE calculator.

Your maintenance calories are the average amount of calories you are consuming on a daily basis to yield your current body composition. If you're trying to lose weight, your daily calorie target should be ~500 calories under your maintenance amount.

Keep in mind: everyone underestimates their calorie intake - even coach Hal. If the number surprises you, remember that the key word is average. You might be consuming less than that amount on certain days of the week. But if so, you are consuming above it on other days (probably the weekends).
